DISTANCE LEARNING

At our on line learning center we work with you to develop the essential element of every clown – CHARACTER. Our guiding principle is that articulated by the actor Meryl Streep when she observes that as an actor she is privileged to create a character and give her life.

Students enroll and are given a character outline to develop for the character they intend to play or are playing. Then in online and telephone coaching sessions with our faculty students are assisted to create a distinctive and vibrant clown character. The class is for working clowns.

As a result of participating in this class students:

1. Learn how to design and apply or refine their clown make-up

2. Create a unique clown persona.

3. Work exercises that enable them to discover how their clown thinks, moves and acts.

4. Develop and incorporate into your clown character a distinctive clown walk.

THE BUSINESS OF CLOWNING and MARKETING YOUR CLOWN – These on line courses are pre-requisites for graduation and are conducted outside of the regular class time.
