What is a College?
We felt the definition of college was necessary to clear up some confusion about us.
A college is an organization, establishment, foundation, society, or the like, devoted to the promotion of a particular cause or program. It is one of a public, educational, or charitable character of higher learning, providing a general or liberal arts education and technical or professional training.
What are We?
An Organization, one of the few in the United States, dedicated to teaching students the ancient and honorable art of the clown. To eliminate the cost and burden of property ownership, we meet at a designated space in the Akron/Canton Area once a week to focus on teaching clowning as an art form and to make it more affordable for students. At the end of the 30 week course the students are required to perform in a public performance as a group in order to graduate. We are committed to the idea of a clown understood as an actor versed in the skills of physical comedy.
How?
Through our thirty weeks course of instruction we focus on character development, physical skills and performing techniques.
Who Do We Serve?
Whoever seeks the way of the clown. We accept those who have no clowning or performing experience as well as those who wish to develop or refine their performing abilities.
How Much Do We Cost?
Our course of instruction is constantly developing. Costs range $1295 – $1495 plus supplies for our course of instruction. After a consultation, we are able to be more specific concerning individual student expenses.
Where are We?
We are located in Akron, Ohio, USA. We do travel nationally and internationally. Please consult our “On the Road” page for information concerning that program.
